Open Mic at the HGU Hotel (22nd Apr. 2019)
On my last visit to New York City a friend invited me to an Open Mic event. This Open Mic is hosted on Monday nights at the HGU Hotel in Manhattan. I had recently finished a photoshoot and I was still in the city so I decided to head over and check it out.
I have to say I really enjoyed the Open Mic, and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is a fan of live music to check it out for themselves. Seeing so many different talented musicians and artiste show off their skills and voices, to the audiences attending was an amazing experience. As I had my camera I decided it would be a good opportunity to create some images of the musicians and artiste in their element.
Luckily for me and all the attendees we were fortunate to witness a performance by Patricia Lacy, who attended that night. Those of you who know of her would know that she did backup vocals for the late Luther Vandross. Her voice is certainly like no other and we all witnessed something special that night.
