Liberty State Park: Daytona (4th June 2022)

I recently started and had the privilege of working with a makeup artist on one of my photoshoots. Annya is a makeup artist based in New Jersey but works in NJ/NY states. She specializes in, on set beauty and bridal makeup, and worked with some many big name designers in the industry. We decided to team up and do a shoot with a model where we can both showcase our work to a new audience. The model that we booked for this shoot had to go out of town for work, so we got Daytona who recently returned to New York to fill the spot.

For this shoot the location of choice was Liberty State Park in New Jersey, which was a change for me as I would frequently shoot at locations in New York. Annya gave Daytona a look that made her look elegant, and I liked that it made her still have a natural look. Also I loved how Annya was able to make her eyes pop in the light, and Daytona completed her look with some beach curls for a glamorous vibe. Daytona did two looks: the first look was a white tube top, baggy navy blue jeans, with white Balenciaga sneakers, and the second look a white mini dress with clear strap heels.

This was something I definitely need to start considering for my photoshoots. Having a makeup artist makes the edit process much easier, as I don't have to do much retouching to the models skin.
