Photoville: Stunts & Stills Photowalk with Ben Franke (18th Sep. 2020)

Every year Leica has an event for photographers and photography enthusiast. This event is The Photoville Festival and runs from September 18th - December 1st 2021. The festival is celebrating its 10-year anniversary as an immersive hybrid experience, and features over 75 public art exhibitions, inspirational walking tours, in-depth panels' and interactive workshops.

Luckily, I was in New York City and was able to attend their only photowalk events for the festival. The event I attended was hosted by one of Leica Camera's brand ambassador's Ben Franke, who is know for his work with athletic disciplines and stunts. The athletes featured ion this photowalk were: Mike Arajo, Luciano Acuna Jr. Lenny Cruz and Bryce Clarke.

One of the things I like about these Photoville events, you are given the opportunity to experience making images using a Leica Camera. I used the Leica Q2 Monochrom camera on this photowalk. Everyone that know my photography work, know I love creating and making images with colour, so I deliberately chose a monochrome which shoots black and white. I wanted to challenge myself while on this photowalk and see what images I can create in two colours.
